Top 5 Reasons Why Balls are Better than Chairs

I have to agree with Wendy Bumgardner, a walking expert on About.com: Balls are so much better than chairs! I have been using a 65 cm exercise ball instead of an office chair for the past year, and I have never looked back. Here are the top 5 reasons why balls are way better than chairs:

1. Balls are cheap ($15-30)

2. Balls make you sit actively: work your muscles, move your spine, develop good posture, and improve your balance while sitting

3. Balls allow physical activity and breaks while working (take a 2 minute break to do some crunches, stretches, or pushups)

4. Balls are effective ways of eliminating lower back pain and other discomfort associated with sitting for long periods

5. Balls are fun! Chairs are boring
